Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Customer Services Representative in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

This position will be on-site and can be located at any of the following facilities:

Cerritos, CA

Franklin, WI

Kent, WA

St. Augustine, FL

Pottstown, PA

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing the RFQ (request for quotation) process as well as ensuring that a high-quality quotation/proposal is provided to the company's customers in an efficient and timely manner and relative information is communicated to all team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Validate/document all RFQ information from suppliers, complete quotation reports, and submit all pricing for customer's approval timely.
  • Determine sale prices, often in collaboration with strategic account managers and product manufacturing, while considering cost, competition, and sales history.
  • Manage the weekly and monthly reporting on assigned metrics. Perform root cause and corrective action analyses as needed.
  • Contribute to the company's achieving its profitability metrics by adhering to the corporate margin policy.
  • Support updates of work instructions and processes as needed.
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Perform routine clerical tasks such as proofing quote requests, maintaining quote logs, filing, and storing quotes.
  • Work with product management to determine the manufacturing site.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of customer inquiry.
  • Responsible for entering and converting RFQs into SAP.
  • Management of change order quotations.
  • Quote follow-up, quote execution, and post-quote analysis (quote accuracy and quote turnaround time).
  • Coordinate efforts to submit End Use Statement requirements at the RFQ stage.
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year experience in a specific area/field. Knowledge of automation tools, such as Esker, Innowera, and SAP mass tools preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace, military, and defense industry, or cable assembly business preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.

JOB SKILLS

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills including active listening.
  • Working knowledge of RFQ and cost/pricing management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods working on a computer. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

• ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.

• Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.

• Hearing protection, in specific locations.

• Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
