ManpowerGroup Warehouse Associate in Portsmouth, Virginia

Our client in the Industrial sector is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the distribution site in Portsmouth, VA supporting the Toxicology unit. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a positive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Pay Range: $16 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

  • Operation of forklifts, packaging and labeling of customer orders, and utilization of computer systems to process receipts, putaways, picks, and replenishments.

  • Inspect incoming product and verify against shipping manifest for accuracy.

  • Elevate inventory discrepancies to inventory control or management for resolution.

  • Effectively work with QA organizations to disposition incoming product.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to perform basic math, read, understand, and make decisions based on written operating procedures.

  • Ability to read product labels and picking sheets.

  • Forklift certification, or ability to become certified (company provided).

  • Must be able to operate rolling pushcart, electric forklift and manual pallet jack.
