Overview

The Patient Medicaid Benefits Specialist is responsible to ensure that all uninsured Seacoast Mental Health Center patients who may be eligible for state, federal and local benefits are screened, informed of their options and supported to quickly access and apply for Medicaid benefits. Ineligible patients will be offered a reduced fee based on need for services at Seacoast Mental Health Center. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance for monitoring patient status and NH Medicaid, including regular follow up on Medicaid applications to ensure a timely response and resolve problems as they arise.

Skills/Education

Associates degree or 1-2 years of direct human service experience with state, federal, and local welfare, disability and other entitlement programs preferred Office based skills required.
