Job Summary

To increase our capability in the Optoelectronics, we are screening candidates for a position in the Team. The candidate will focus his activity in supporting design and testing of sensors based on Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscope (I-FOG), including selection of optical and opto-electronic components and its electronics. The candidate will develop and improve analog and mixed-mode electronics circuits.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Acquire knowhow in I-FOG (Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscopes) applied to for inertial navigation system

  • Understand testing procedures and diagnostic methodologies for I-FOG

  • Master the I-FOG raw data processing flow and the related data analysis techniques

  • Improve or define procedures to characterize I-FOG in various environmental conditions

  • Support debug by means of failure troubleshooting and root cause analysis to improve product design reliability and robustness, and to increase production yield

  • Contribute to the development of production test procedures and process workflow to improve I-FOG overall quality and yield

  • Select optical and electronic component for I-FOG design improvement and for test setups

  • Design optical setups and test benches for I-FOG

  • Improve or develop analog and mixed-mode electronics circuits interfacing the I-FOG

    Qualification and Skills

    Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electronic or Physics (with Optoelectronic specialization)

  • Knowledge in signal conditioning and processing/data analysis

  • Knowledge in designing high speed Optoelectronics subsystems (optical transmitter and receivers) for telecommunication (SDH/SONET, PON, etc)

  • Knowledge in designing EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers)

  • Knowledge in designing DWDM and/or CDWM network

  • Knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink programming languages

  • Knowledge in using standard laboratory optical equipment (OTDR, Power Meter, OSA, Oscilloscope, fiber splicing machine, etc)

  • Experience in analogue and mixed signal electronic design

  • Self-starter capability

  • Systematic mindset to perform in-depth investigation

  • Multidisciplinary attitude and team working capability

  • English Language (written and spoken): B1 or higher

  • Work passion and smart learning attitude
