Warehouse/Facilities Manager

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Warehouse/Facilites Manager to join our growing business in Portland OR!

As our Warehouse/Facilities Manager, you will lead the Inventory & Logistics Control, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Facility Maintenance functions. You will manage the effective incoming and storage of materials as well as the delivery of materials to Production as required and will support the PacStar business to meet its customer and internal financial objectives.

Your Challenge:

  • Manage, lead and mentor the Warehouse team within Operations

  • Oversee the Facilities functions for maintenance and business effectiveness

  • Lead the Environmental, Health and Safety efforts to promote a safe work environment and ensure we meet local, state, and federal OSHA/Safety requirements and corporate reporting requirements

  • Implement and monitor procedures to ensure high inventory accuracy, using cycle counting and other processes to achieve this requirement

  • Support periodic physical inventory of materials and work on processes and audit measures to reduce requirements of performing physical inventory

  • Support high level of service between the warehouse and its internal customers, such as Production, Planning, Engineering, and Finance.

  • Maintain high standards for product shipments to customers to meet their delivery needs

  • Ensure procedures and policies are in place and adhered to in support of our AS9100 Quality Management System

  • Drive continuous improvement in all warehouse and facilities process areas

  • Use ERP system (SAP) to support inventory management processes

  • Manage Warehouse and Facilities systems used within Operations and PacStar/Parvus to ensure they are improving effectiveness and supporting increased production output while improving quality

  • Work with subcontractors to assure that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems are working optimally.

  • Working with Quality and Technical teams, you will support the transfer of materials into and out of the Incoming Inspection function, to maintain high quality standards of material in the inventory for use during production.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years’ experience in Warehouse management position

  • 3+ years’ experience in Facilities management position

  • 2+ years’ experience in safety (EHS) management is a plus

  • Experience with inventory management and maintaining a highly accurate warehouse

  • Cycle counting process experience

  • Experience with hazardous materials shipping, including lithium batteries, and international shipping experience is strongly desired

  • Service orientation for support of factory and facility

  • Solid understanding of building control systems

  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Verbal and written communication skills both for company internal and external interactions

  • Project management skills

  • Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office

  • Good understanding of AS9100 processes and standards

  • Knowledge in work with EPR system – SAP preferred

  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project related duties
