Explore the potential of your pharmacy experience in an elevated role. We are recruiting a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team of health care professionals. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily accounting functions of two separate entities. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Job type: This is a full-time position for applications that reside in Oregon/SW Washington area. This position will be 90% remote. Salary Range: $66,000 - $82,500 annually, depending on experience ​​​ Benefits: Competitive pay Flexible PTO and paid company holidays Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance 401(k) match Position responsibilities: General Accounting Support: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including journal entries, general ledger postings, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and account reconciliations for both entities. Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, bills, and expense reports, ensuring proper coding and documentation. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Accounts Payable: Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors. Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations for both entities, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow projections as needed. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Help maintain accurate fixed asset records and assist with depreciation calculations. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, departments, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve accounting-related queries. Provide assistance and support during internal and external financial audits. Time Requirements: This position requires periodic work hours outside of normal hours based on job requirements. Extra time is expected to be determined on a proactive basis (will not always be communicated directly). This extra time includes, but is not limited to the following times of the year: Month-end close Year-end close and audit preparation Special projects with time sensitive deadlines Assisting other positions in completing pre-month end duties Required skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably with exposure to dual entity accounting or multiple client support. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
