Job Title: Field Crew Manager

Salary: $24 per hour the first 90 days, after trial it goes up to $27 per hour

Job Summary:

As a Crew Manager at 2 Brothers Moving, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of moving services. This dynamic position requires a candidate who can seamlessly transition between administrative responsibilities and hands-on field management. The Crew Manager will be responsible for overseeing moving crews, coordinating logistics, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Crew Manager will spend approximately 90% of their working hours in the field, exposed to various weather conditions and physical demands. This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Field Management:

       - Lead and supervise moving crews during on-site operations.

       - Ensure efficient and safe loading, unloading, and transportation of goods.

       - Provide guidance and support to the crew to optimize performance and meet service standards.

       - Resolve any on-site challenges or issues promptly and effectively.

       - Conduct regular quality checks to ensure service excellence.

  2. Administrative Tasks:

       - Coordinate with the scheduling team to plan and organize moving assignments.

       - Maintain accurate records of crew schedules, equipment usage, and job details.

       - Communicate with customers to confirm moving details and address any concerns.

       - Prepare necessary documentation, including invoices and reports.

       - Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.

  3. Training and Development:

       - Conduct on-the-job training for new crew members.

       - Provide ongoing coaching to enhance the skills and professionalism of the crew.

       - Promote a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.

  4. Equipment and Inventory Management:

       - Ensure that all moving equipment is in good working condition.

       - Conduct regular checks on inventory and report any shortages or damages.

       - Coordinate maintenance and repair activities as needed.

  5. Safety Compliance:

       - Enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and injuries.

       - Conduct safety briefings before each job and ensure that crew members adhere to safety guidelines.

       - Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the moving or logistics industry.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment.

  • Familiarity with moving equipment and techniques.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Valid driver's license.
