Description

Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team located in Portland, Oregon. This role plays a crucial part in our daily accounting operations and requires a high level of detail orientation and multitasking abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple accounting duties, from invoice management to account reconciliation, in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multi-location reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Enter invoices and vendor statements into the accounting system.

• Ensure timely payments of invoices in accordance with credit terms.

• Communicate appropriately and as needed with vendors to resolve any discrepancies.

• Reconcile vendor accounts to ensure all data is up to date.

• Prepare and post journal entries into the general ledger system.

• Support month-end closing processes to ensure all transactions are recorded.

• File documents in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring easy retrieval when needed.

• Assist in other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

The required skills for this role include Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger, and Account Reconciliation.

Requirements • Must have a firm understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Proficiency in General Ledger management is essential

• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Good organizational and time-management abilities

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Must have a commitment to ongoing learning and continuous improvement.
