The Clean Energy Systems (CES) Division is growing rapidly and moving forward in production scaling of our residential energy solutions. We are looking for a Supply Chain Technician to support our growing team by performing administrative supply chain tasks, assisting with RMA shipping/receiving, and partnering with various departments to support material management within an office facility.

This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and will be working ionsite out of the Generac Clean Energy office in South Portland, Maine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs the receiving function for RMAs (return merchandise authorizations) from installers, which includes: unboxing and performing a receipt inspection, determining the origin of the return through online search tools, checking-in the received devices in our Salesforce database, physically moving the material into specified locations, and providing status updates to the RMA engineering team.

  • Performs the shipping and receiving function for the majority of materials that ship to and from the South Portland office, which includes: interfacing with 3rd party carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.), creating shipments and labels online, packaging materials, and updating various databases with tracking/shipment information.

  • Assists with various supply chain administrative activities, such as evaluating shipping rates and selecting lowest cost options, inputting material information into datasheets, performing physical/cycle counts, transporting material from location to location, intermittent material pick-ups from local suppliers, etc.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of storage and organizational systems for excess and NPI material (components, prototype parts, returned product, excess test equipment, etc.).

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked inventory and RMA area.

  • Assist in the coordination of electronic waste/recycling pick-up.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

  • A valid driver’s license is required.

  • Work Experience: 1-3+ years working in an inventory/material management work environment.

  • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with good attention to details

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Materials management/inventory experience strongly recommended, including inventory management software such as SAP, Oracle, or other
