MAINTENANCE WORKER I - Parking Division City-operated Parking Garages, lots and meters - Deadline Extended

Primary duties are complete building custodial and maintenance functions such as floor maintenance, trash collection, snow blowing and shoveling, limited snow plowing, some painting and carpentry, landscaping, operation and maintenance of light power equipment, and may assist in collection, repair and installation of parking meters, and provide customer service assistance to patrons.

Requirements: Working knowledge of the tools, equipment, methods, materials, and skills used in a variety of building maintenance activities. Excellent communication and customer service skills, self-motivated, well-organized, dependable, and able to work alone as well as be a team player. Requires ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions, and be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. Must pass fitness assessment prior to hire. Must have Class C drivers license and maintain a good driving record (provide license number). Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.

Current hours are 6:00AM-2:30PM Sunday and Monday, 1:30PM-10:00PM Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but individual must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include mandatory overtime.

Labor & Trades Union position Grade 16 Pay range starting at \$21.02/hour, plus weekend shift differential of \$.60/hour for all hours worked and additional \$1.00/hour stipend for needle pickup for all hours worked. Generous benefits package. Accepting applications until the vacancy is filled.**
