Essential Job Functions:1. Support and work with all pharmacy staff to achieve outstanding pharmaceutical care and business outcomes.2. Actively assist the pharmacist, under their direct supervision, with the filling of new, refill and transfer prescriptions in accordance with current laws, ethical standards, and company policies.3. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.4. Thoroughly understand and operate the pharmacy computer software.5. Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer focus both in person and on the telephone.6. Assist in maintenance of third-party prescription information and resolution of rejected claims.7. Relay specific communications between fellow technicians and pharmacists to maintain solid communication within the department.8. Successfully apply training to everyday pharmacy practice.9. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Duties and Responsibilities:1. Assist stores in ensuring customers receive all their prescriptions in a timely manner.2. Maintain pharmacy records as required in accordance with Standard Practice and by law.3. Follow and adhere to attendance and paid time off policies.4. Understand and adhere to state specific and federal laws and regulations.5. Share in responsibility for department maintenance and cleanliness by maintaining the quality of department’s appearance and presentation.6. Maintain and assist with ordering pharmacy department supplies (e.g., bags, labels, staples, etc.).7. Observe, adhere, and understand all company policies and Company Standard Practices.8. Always maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company personal appearance and dress code policies.9. Support company safety standards. Communicate any need for equipment repairs, or maintenance work needed. Keep work area free of debris and safety hazards.10. Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:1. Sit or stand 100% of the shift with occasional walking short distances.2. Use of computer and pharmacy filling equipment 100% of time.3. Clerical accuracy skills and mathematical skills.4. Ability to use office supplies, communication devices, and computer systems frequently.5. Frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lb. below the waist level and at or above shoulder level.6. Bend at the knees and waist repetitively throughout the workday.7. Have sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers.
