KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Static Equipment PC&C Supervisor to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility’s location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

Aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.

The Static Equipment PC&C Supervisor will oversee and manage the activities of the Boilermaker/Pipefitter Personnel and assist in planning and executing Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities on all Static Equipment. Coordinate all activities with area construction supervision, support craft, material loadings, potential material and catalyst change-outs, maintenance, and subcontractor activities. This role will report to the PC&CSO Mechanical/Maintenance Commissioning Superintendent.

The Static Equipment PC&C Supervisor role involves planning, execution, and quality control of day-to-day activities related to preserving, Catalyst/Desiccant installation, commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of static equipment on the Project. This position requires significant interaction with other Discipline Field Personnel.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all preservation, installation, commissioning, start-up, and maintenance activities adhere to Engineering Specifications, Engineering IFC Specifications/Detail Drawings, Manufacturer Specifications/Detail Drawings, Data Sheets, and industry pressure vessel codes and standards

  • Specify required parts and materials and arrange for their delivery to the necessary locations

  • Assist in identifying and diagnosing problems and provide written and verbal reports on daily activities

  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, ensure safety and loss prevention on the job site, have working knowledge of safety rules and requirements in all Project Construction Areas, and counsel others on safety when necessary

  • Directly supervise Boilermaker/Pipefitter Crew Members, monitor the experience level of Boilermaker/Pipefitter Personnel, and evaluate their job performance, informing management of employee performance

  • Maintain records of work performed on all new static equipment, including electronically written reports for Safety, QA/QC, and Management

  • Assist in maintaining records on jobs, equipment problems, procedure changes, etc.

  • Recognize and respond to the Project's needs professionally and in a timely manner

  • Communicate specific hazards involved in each material loading to Safety

  • Support, practice, and implement written standards and goals

  • Solve technical and non-technical mechanical problems, recognizing when to involve KZJV Safety, QA/QC, and Management in solving complex issues

Experience & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in hazardous material handling and vessel material change-outs involving IDLH Confined Space Entry

  • Proficiency in computer skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with subcontractors and all other Personnel

  • Proficiency in English (Written and Spoken)

  • Knowledge of arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, algebra, geometry, calculations, and statistics

Additional Qualifications:

  • In lieu of formal education 18 + years of progressive experience with equipment installations/maintenance in a construction or industrial facility

  • Or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 10 + years of progressive experience with equipment installations/maintenance in a construction or industrial facility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HAZWOPER or HAZCOM Training

  • IDLH Confined Space Awareness

  • OEM seminars and/or other on-the-job training
