Actalent Senior Construction Manager in Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Job Description

  • We are actively seeking talented civil engineering or construction management professionals to join our team as a Construction Manager. This pivotal role supports a wide range of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and water resources related projects. The impactful work performed will help ecosystems, watersheds, and communities thrive.

  • The initial assignment involves supporting Construction Management Services for large, heavy civil, water resources projects, related to the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. Tasks include mass excavation, dredging, canal widening, embankments, levees, pump stations, and more.

  • The selected candidate will act as a liaison between the contractor, the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and the engineer of record. Responsibilities include ensuring that the contractor works according to the obtained permits, meets scheduling expectations, manages timely material delivery, oversees quality control inspections, coordinates submittals and RFI processes, and conducts bi-weekly progress meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE License highly preferred.

  • Masters Degree preferred

  • 15+ years of related construction experience, with related projects (heavy civil earthworks).

  • Experience working with SFWMD is preferred.

  • Geotechnical Engineering experience is a plus.

  • Water or Wastewater Treatment plant experience is a plus.

  • Experience with E-Builder or a similar construction management software

  • Knowledge of environmental planning, permitting and regulations desired.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to complete project tasks.

  • Ability to provide professional-level verbal and written communication skills.

  • Leadership and business development talents are a plus.

  • An attitude and commitment to being passionate about doing exceptional work, energizing staff and delivering responsive service to clients.

  • High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic.

  • Must have valid drives license
