Amec Foster Wheeler Engineering Coordinator in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Massy Wood is recruiting for an Engineering Coordinator with significant experience in the oil and gas industry. The Engineering Coordinator will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of engineering excellence.

  • In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, manages succession planning for direct reports.

  • Provides performance management and mentoring for direct reports.

  • Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans.

  • Responsible for raising and co-ordinating all resourcing documentation – RTS’, PAAFs,

  • Supporting onboarding of all new starts both within the host discipline teams and the GEC teams.

  • Ensures competence of team including maintenance of an up-to-date Assignment Roster.

  • Manages performance of direct reports – contract discipline Leads and focal points.

  • Ensures competence of bpTT contract Engineering team within the contract inclusive of the Global Execution Centre (GEC) team

  • Manages succession planning and delivery on behalf of the contract.

  • Set and maintain standards for the development and retention of motivated and competent people.

  • Manages recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet within the contract inclusive of the GEC workshare team

  • Ensuring Personnel Objective Plans (POPs) and Mid-Year Reviews are completed for direct reports

Process Ownership:

  • Continuous promotion and compliance of Wood and Client procedures and Engineering Technical Practices (ETPs)

  • Delivery of technical assurance within the Client contract inclusive of the GEC workshare

  • Manage / participate incident investigations as required.

  • Facilitating audits on the contract as per audit schedule

  • Driving continuous improvement and identifying efficiencies within Engineering processes and procedures

  • Monitor engineering personnel competency and performing assignment roster health checks

  • B.Sc. in Engineering from a recognized university

  • Minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience

  • Capable of representing the contract and Client to business associates in a professional manner.

  • Professional demeanor.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Able to keep discipline & resolve conflict.

  • Good Communication skills.

  • Able to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels of the organisation.

  • Enthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learn.
