C.H. Robinson Supply Chain Coordinator in Port Melbourne, Australia

SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR

The Trade Management Team in C.H. Robinson Oceania has primary responsibility to support a major retail client in their supply chain/logistics for speciality imported products into of Australia leveraging our global forwarding expertise.

A Supply Chain Coordinator will provide support across the import teams servicing this client.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the demand forecast which supports the wider Supply Chain function to meet market demand.

  • Review trends in historical sales, forecast accuracy / forecast bias with a goal of progressive continuous improvement.

  • Plan and execute procurement from global suppliers Maintain strong working relationships and communications with key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Proactively report product availability issues

  • Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management.

  • Maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information.

  • Processes sales orders

  • Liaise with overseas suppliers, 3PL warehouses and Global Forwarding Agent

  • Manage external relationships with 3rd party stakeholders, such as warehouses & transport carriers Produce ad hoc reporting on functions within the Supply Chain network.

  • Provide on-going support and effective communication to our internal and external parties

  • Maintain the in-stock position, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to support catalogues business initiatives

The Candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics or business discipline

  • Supply Chain/logistics, Purchasing/buyer experience in a retail/FMCG environment

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Contribute to a culture with a focus on each individual taking responsibility for their role and working within a positive team environment

  • Customer focus is paramount

  • Ability to build and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, whilst fostering open communication

  • Basic level of using MS Office suite - Dynamics / Business Central
