The post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) RN is responsible for providing care to post-operative patients recovering from the effects of anesthesia. Due to the possibility of rapid changes in the patient's physiological condition, the PACU RN is required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment of the post-operative patient. Job Details Our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RNs: Recover, assess, monitor, administer medication and manage overall care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics who have undergone surgical procedures under anesthesia (general, regional, and MAC). Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients' loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education. What you'll bring: 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required 2+ Years Critical Care experience Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. Preferred Certifications: Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Salary Range USD $59.96 - USD $59.96 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
