Job Summary

UCT-2 has construction diving detachments deployed year round in which maintenance will be conducted continuously CONUS and OCONUS. The Diving Systems Program Manager supports program management, equipment maintenance scheduling and tracking, repair parts ordering and tracking, data entry, budget analysis and tracking specific to maintenance of diving systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Dives Department Head in the management of UCT-2’s maintenance scheduling and reporting, repair parts inventory and ordering, budget analysis, and data entry.

  • Order repair parts utilizing the Navy Stock system or Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM) to include balancing and oversight of the maintenance budget of approximately $850K.

  • Support the accountability of maintenance performed on all Diver’s Life Support Equipment regardless of location to include; procurement input of maintenance tracking records, and requisitioning maintenance related items to any location CONUS and OCONUS.

  • Support the projections and accounting for scheduled maintenance of Diver’s Life Support Equipment requiring overhaul or extensive work before training or shipping overseas to conduct operations.

  • Maintain maintenance accountability using computer based software to include Microsoft Office programs, web-based programs, planned maintenance scheduling software (SKED), and Organizational Maintenance Management System (OMMS).

  • Monitor weekly maintenance checks and provide monthly equipment readiness status to command. Diving equipment must be kept 100% ready to deploy status prior to any training or operational use.

  • Provide oversight, analysis, and projection of the maintenance budget and provide monthly reports to the command.

  • Provide logistical and data entry support as required.

  • Support the Dives Department Head in the management of UCT-2’s dive system certification.

  • Support the Dives Department Head in the management of UCT-2’s command inspections.

    Qualifications

  • Retired or former U.S. Military Senior Enlisted (E-6 and above).

  • First Class Diver, Master Diver, or Diving Officer with at least eight years of experience in the management of diving programs.

  • At least four years of Navy supply and budget management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience using SKED, OMMS, and other databases supporting the maintenance requirements for diving systems.

  • Excellent skills in typing/keyboarding, organizing, and Microsoft Office Professional applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable programs.

  • Excellent communications skills orally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of military training requirements and operations for diving organizations.
