Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. 1. Transport residents to and from activities. Assist, encourage and motivate residents to participate in daily activity programs, both individual and in groups according to established calendar of events. 2. Set up and take down equipment/supplies for activities. Prepare food as required. 3. Purchase activity supplies. 4. Complete a variety of forms for dietary, birthdays, foods and activities. 5. Deliver personal event calendars to residents. 6. Maintain activity attendance records and charts progress. 7. Delivers residents\' mail. 8. Responsible to know and practice the Safety policies of the County. Perform all job tasks in a safe and prescribed manner. Additional Tasks and Responsibilities While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the unit, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other unit members. 1. Monitor wander guard unit. 2. Transports residents to activities. Operates bus. 3. Maintain aviary and aquarium. 4. Display seasonal decorations. 5. Update resident interest books. 6. Plant flowers and weed flower beds, as needed. Pick flowers when in bloom and arrange them in vases for residents\' enjoyment. 7. Assist families with party planning. 8. Conduct unplanned activities. 9. Assist volunteers. 10. Attend required meetings. 11. Any other duties as may be assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: -Prior responsible work experience preferably with geriatric persons. -Ability to perform data entry and retrieval of information in computer terminal required. -A valid Wisconsin Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class C, with the \"P\" endorsement preferred, or ability to acquire.
