Amentum Maintenance Manager (Vehicle) - Haiti in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti

Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Maintenance Manager (Vehicle) to support a pending contract award in Haiti.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager (MM) will be for supporting the Program in the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, replacement, conservation and any other maintenance-related duties to maintain fully functioning fleet in support the Program requirements.

  • Supervise and schedule daily work assignments for all shop and support personnel.

  • Responsible for tracking and completion of work orders (WO).

  • Provide expertise and oversight to detailed work and dispatch schedules in accomplishment of vehicle maintenance and motor pool services.

  • Coordinates with appropriate POC to schedule vehicle maintenance and dispatch.

  • Ensure daily work schedules to include drivers, mechanics, and parts clerks are adequate for contract requirements.

  • Ensure adequate spare parts, tools, machines, and supplies are available with continuous monitoring and managing inventory control.

  • Ensure accurate time and material accounting is entered on completed work requests.

  • Ensure adequate instructions and trained personnel are available for work including disposal and control of hazardous waste.

  • Ensure that vehicle maintenance employees attend, participate, and are compliant with all safety program trainings.

  • Ensure safety equipment and supplies are available, in good working order and employees receive required training to utilize equipment.

  • Ensure that all scheduled maintenance complies with applicable codes and standards in accordance with international, U.S. government, PWS, manufacturer and any other guidelines.

  • Oversee all work requirements to ensure professional and quality services are provided to the customer in accordance with program requirements, while maintaining safety as the highest priority to support mission activities in the SOW

  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on projects for Program leadership.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Program leadership.

The MM shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in fleet maintenance maintenance, operations and repair with knowledge of large fleets and procurement to maintain fleet.

  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints and shop drawings.

  • Requires at least three (3) years of experience in a leadership on a program of similar size and scope including BOS type operations preferably at a military installation.

  • Ability to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.

  • Strong communication skills and be capable of adjusting to the communication style appropriate for the audience

  • Ability to listen and understand supported unit requirements

  • Knowledgeable about and have experience with the military decision-making process

  • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Valid US or local driver's license and US passport

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required

  • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards

High school diploma or equivalent

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
