JCB Inc. Team Lead - Maintenance in Pooler, Georgia

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for leading all maintenance functions as directed by the Facilities and Janitorial Group Leader and/or Maintenance Manager

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Knowledge in the following systems: Electrical, HVAC, Lighting, Plumbing and Pneumatic
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Lead Preventative Maintenance of equipment per OEM standards
  • Mechanical / light Electrical troubleshooting of equipment
  • MIG / Stick welding and oxyacetylene cutting
  • Utilize a sense of urgency when completing assigned tasks / equipment, fixture, and tooling repair
  • Complete daily work orders / PMs according to their assigned level of importance
  • Maintain accurate work order information within the maintenance management system
  • Follow downtime escalation process to ensure Maintenance / Operations leadership teams are kept up to date
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including cranes, hoists, forklifts, scissor / boom lifts and common power tools
  • Maintain a safe / clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
  • Lead project work and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead adjustments and/or make corrections on equipment to reach optimum capabilities
Nature and Scope

Reports to Maintenance Manager

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests
  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of maintenance support experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Certificate / Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of maintenance support experience
  • []{#_Hlk110518744}Journeyman status or equivalent in a specific trade skill (i.e.: millwright, ironworker, electrician, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
  • Knowledge and Adherence of all JCB Safety Policies
  • Capable of interpreting drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Operate designated machinery and proactively service equipment as needed
  • Ability to work individually and be self-directed with minimum supervision
  • Effective working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility in work environment and activities; available for overtime
  • Ability to operate equipment as needed, lift loads, climb ladders, wear a respirator and perform strenuous labor
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Manufacturing process knowledge in the areas of: Assembly, Fabrication and Paint
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Sound analytical skills with a practical balance of shop floor experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Flexible schedule sometimes required to support equipment repair and integration efforts. This could include Saturday and/or Sunday
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
