Job Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering Intern with a strong interest in Computer Science to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of a system that automates the creation of 3D models and engineering drawings. The internship will provide hands-on experience in software development and engineering design while working on a real-world project.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the engineering team to analyse and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements

• Assist in the development of an application and generate the algorithms to automate the drawing creation process

• Test and debug the system to ensure it meets project specifications

• Collaborate with team members to monitor and maintain the system, making improvements and updates as needed

• Learn and apply engineering design principles and standards

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to the project

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field

• Requires some coursework or experience in object orientated programming languages such as Visual Basic / VBA / C#

• Basic knowledge of 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
