Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Truck Wash is to provide support to the Operations team under the direction of the Production Supervisor. Meeting customers cleanliness expectations for efficiency and food safety on outgoing trucks. The primary purpose of the Baler is to support the organizations sustainability effort.

Requirements

::: {bind="html: Job.Requirements"} ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Wash backhaul trailer interiors to meet customer expectations for food safety requirements. Complete washouts in a timely manner to increase efficiency and lower turnaround time.

2. Maintain and organize the baler room and collect and baler recyclables such as cardboard and plastic.

3. Be punctual and adhere to all safety policies, general manufacturing policies, and food safety guidelines. Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely fashion.

4. Must be able to do tasks without constant supervision and assist where needed on special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Good communication skills and the ability to multitask. Also, experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as stated above.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to stand for up to 8 hours in a day.

Able to lift, bend, pull and push.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to move hoses or other supplies used in the work

Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.

May be required to go into the freezer periodically (-10 degrees). Appropriate freezer clothing will be provided. :::
