Summary:

Consolidated Electrical Distributors is looking to add ambitious, hardworking, customer-obsessed folks to our growing team in our Indianapolis, IN profit center. Our warehouse associates work from 9 AM - 6 PM or 10 AM - 7 PM Monday through Friday. This role is essential in warehousing and delivering material to the customers we serve in the greater Indianapolis marketplace each day. While the job is physically demanding with a lot of time on your feet each day, the job is rewarded with top-end hourly pay and a Profit Sharing program that encourages every team member to care about the work they do each day.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds occasionally – usually with assistance of tools and equipment

  • Ability to lift 25 - 30 pounds frequently – usually with assistance of tools and equipment

  • Ability to be on your feet walking 15,000+ steps per day

    ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating forklifts

Working Conditions:

  • Daily - air-conditioned warehouse environment

  • Occasional – Work outdoors in existing weather conditions

  • Heavy physical activity

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

  • Picking orders using hand-held mobile device

  • Loading delivery trucks

  • Operating various type of forklifts (on-the-job training available)

  • Putting away inventory using hand-held mobile device

  • Packaging shipments safely

  • Banding of material together safely

  • Receiving material from freight carrier

  • Shipping material via freight carriers

  • Cutting Wire

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $16 to $18 hourly.
