Instrument Operator

KEITH is a multi-disciplined consulting firm looking for an Instrument Operator to join our Survey and Mapping team in our Pompano Beach, Florida office.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Party Chief in the day to day operation of the survey crew.

  • Operate all equipment, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features using a Total Station, levels and GPS equipment.

  • Perform in a leadership capacity organizing, training and instructing other crew members.

  • Construction staking & layout, property corners & boundary lines, topography.

  • Collecting data utilizing automated and field books.

    Requirements:

  • Experience with Trimble GPS (Static and RTK), TDS Survey Pro and/or FDOT’s EFB/CEFB data collection systems

  • Working outside daily

  • Lift a minimum of 50lbs when required

  • Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances

  • Drive a company vehicle (when required) to and from job sites

  • Overnight travel when required
