JOB DESCRIPTION

COMPANY NAME: The Forum

POSITION TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: Facility Maintenance Superintendent

FULL TIME_XPART TIMETEMPORARY_

Job summary: This hands-on position is expected to perform some light repair and maintenance work. Also responsible for support services activities in the building including.

Responsibilities/Specific Duties:

  1. Installs, repairs, and removes equipment and utilities within the facilities as required.

  2. Keeps management informed of the physical, mechanical, and operating conditions of the Forum and related facilities.

  3. Assist Hospitality in coordinating set-up requirements for users of Forum facilities.

  4. Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Superintendent

Performance measures:

  1. Effective working relationships with support personnel, contractors, vendors, and other persons and entities that provide repair and maintenance services to the facility.

  2. Keeps management informed of the operating status of the building. 

  3. Minimal downtime for mechanical equipment supporting building operations.

  4. Effective working relationships with facility users and vendors.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or GED is required.

  2. Maintenance ability to do light repairs

  3. Valid driver’s license

  4. Strong communication skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (including office equipment, furniture, etc.). The employee must often crouch, stoop, or reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Workweek/ hours of work: Full-time 5 day work week, may include nights and weekends. Flexibility is a must.
