Become a Senior Data Analytics Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be part of Pole Program Management (PPM) within Transmission & Distribution. This person examines and leverages raw data for the purpose of deteriorated pole scoping, project management and quality control for T&D pole replacements and/or remediation. You will also be responsible for pole scope processing, design remediation, and data reporting/tracking for any poles identified as deteriorated. Our pole execution strategy considers annual pole targets, operation resources, budget commitments, and construction constraints.

Responsible for T&D's analytics, data interpretation, data extraction and modeling.
Develops and makes presentation to senior management, department and division management on initiatives supporting T&D strategies and goals.
Makes strategic recommendations on data collection, extraction, preparation, and integration all while maintaining data integrity.
Ensures optimal resource allocation and completion of work.
Performs analysis, testing, and/or measurement in specialized area of expertise.
Responsible for providing, analyzing and interpreting data in support of GRC testimony or in response to changing business strategies.
Acts as a subject matter authority to analysts about data sources, extraction methods and data interpretation.
Responsible for development, improvement and execution of processes that support T&D in the execution of performance and metrics.
Completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The essentials
Five years of experience in a data analyticsposition.
Experience utilizing SAS.
Experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, or Macros.
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field or Business.
Experience with data visualization such as PowerBI or SAS Viya.
Five or more years of experience using the advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, or Macros.
Utility Industry experience.
Experience participating in Enterprise System implementations, transitions or upgrades.

The position’s work mode is remote . Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
