ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Sales Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations and sales activities in the area(s) assigned. Duties include hiring and training staff, generating and following up with sales leads, meeting sales quotas and ensuring customer satisfaction with services.

This is a part-time, 32 hours per week, benefited position. This position is required to work some weekends, evenings/nights, and holidays.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

  • Coordinate all sales activities related to the area(s) assigned
  • Directly oversees a variety of events
  • Recommends, participates, and evaluates the ROI in industry conferences and shows
  • Interacts directly with customers and vendors to resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Acts as Manager On Duty (MOD) and is responsible for operations in the absence of supervisors
  • Send prospecting emails, cold calls and developing relationships for weddings and/or events
  • Respond to wedding and/or event inquiries in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the area(s) assigned.
  • Responsible for ensuring staffing levels are appropriate for forecast demand within budget.
  • Responsible for the effective training and coaching of crew members.
  • Ensures assigned area is ready for service, and maintained at the highest quality throughout service.
  • Resolves equipment, maintenance, and facility issues quickly and effectively.
  • Effectively utilizes catering, financial, timekeeping, and other computerized systems
  • Work closely with the sales manager to establish a department budget
  • Ensures staff report to work on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
  • Responsible for submitting a variety of reports in an accurate, timely manner
  • SUPERVISION: Responsible for the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff necessary to carry out effective operations of area assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in weddings and events
  • Ability to develop, interpret and apply policies and procedures to variety of situations.
  • Ability to be resourceful and to take initiative.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-ethnic environment.
  • Flexibility and open to new ideas and adaptable to changing technology.
  • Ability to consistently achieve targets assigned
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
  • Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives
  • Valid CA drivers license and insurance
  • Ability to work a flexible, changing, and demanding work schedule.
