Become a Quality Assurance Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, will support and facilitate activities to determine the cause(s) and corrective action(s) for quality, and performance related events. This position will support the development and continuous improvement of Transmission and Distribution (T&D) performance through the application of Quality Assurance programs. As a Quality Assurance Senior Specialist , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Conduct and/or support the execution of cause evaluations.

  • Engage with subject matter experts and team members to verify facts, prove/disprove theories, and construct event timelines.

  • Research policies, rules, procedures, regulations, and organizational work processes.

  • Communicate project status with management and team members.

  • Prepare questions and conduct personnel interviews.

  • Document and summarize the event details, analysis, and evaluation results for Standard, Apparent, and Common Cause Evaluations.

  • Use MS Suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and data analysis tools.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The essentials

  • Five or more years of experience researching and/or analyzing processes, programs, or data.

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

The preferred

  • Demonstrated experience writing technical reports.

  • Experience performing Standard Cause Evaluations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a STEM field

  • Experience facilitating and leading cross functional teams.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience and knowledge of T&D programs and policies.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of the T&D IPSEC process. (Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute, and Close)

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
