Job Description

Become a Fleet Technical Training Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll develop annual technical, leadership, ad-hoc (SAP, Tablet, etc.) training schedules and student rosters. Also, develop new electric vehicle hydraulic training programs to maintain fleet equipment and responsible for leading personal development plans for all representative employees.

Collaborate with Fleet Operation Maintenance managers and staff members to formulate and implement training policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Also, collaborate with outside agencies, regulators and serve as an expert SME and consultant to TSD management.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Lead Fleet Operation and Maintenance technical training program.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the technical and leadership training program to ensure the work is consistently accomplished based on Fleet training requirements.

  • Interface with vendors, TSD training, and other business partners to achieve training objectives and goals.

  • Develop and implement new training classes to stay current with industry changes with new equipment technology to maintain the fleet.

  • Makes final decisions on training matters and ensures effective achievement of the organization's objectives.

  • Lead the training for O&M expenditures and budgets. Evaluates results and recommend actions to optimize cost savings.

The Essentials

  • Seven or more years of experience in the Automotive and Diesel field.

  • Experience in a training role developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technical discipline or related field.

  • ASE Automotive Service Excellence.

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
