Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business Unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As NPI Airfoils and Structures CRO Senior Program Manager you will operate in the CRO Commercial Service team and you will report to the Commercial CRO Program Director. In this role you will be responsible to lead the NPI, Airfoils and Structures CRO Business. Working horizontally with all the other Functions, your main priorities will be the customer satisfaction and the business profitability and you will be expected to be a champion of Customer focus, business rigor and operational excellence.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting Company economics/financials and contractual targets within the allocated budget, including margin expansion initiatives

  • Review on regular basis with Program Managers the budget, business plan, economics (REV, GM, CASH), program KPIs (OTD, VoC)

  • Be the reference for the Customer and the Customer advocate in the Company for all the NPI, Airfoils and Structures CRO Programs

  • Ensure the application of risk management, monitoring the execution of mitigation activities

  • Lead the CRO NPI Program team, assuring on time achievement of the industrial readiness and the coordination with the GEA Service CRO team.

  • Responsible to meet the Program milestones in terms of timing, financials and quality

  • Manage the Airfoils and Structures Business lines, assuring an effective transition from NPI to production, with volumes and Business growth in line with the plans and the Customer needs

  • Lead and develop the team driving adoption of a Lean approach centered on the Customer and deployment of digital tools to maximize the digitization of CRO processes

  • Manage the Programs assuring customer satisfaction, business profitability and performance excellence

  • Manage the performance of the contracts, assuring adherence to the specific technical, quality, performance and financial metrics and targets

  • Execute strategy for contracts improvement

  • Support the Company financial processes and Perform Business risk management, promptly reacting to drifts and catching opportunities

  • Drive the fulfillment of Customer needs and AA commitments, assuring clear prioritization and effective information flow and driving structured problem solving and recovery plans whenever required.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs for measuring business goals, performance of the critical processes and effectiveness of the action plans

  • Lead the CRO Repair Control Board process and collaborate with the ITO team to drive business growth

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, preferred graduation in Mechanical/Aerospace/Management Engineering

  • Relevant experience in Service Business, in Program Management, Commercial or equivalent roles

  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work with an entrepreneurial approach in a complex environment

  • Orientation to Customer

  • Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks

  • Organization, analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Structured Problem Solving approach

  • Proven Leadership

  • Business Acumen

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of office automation

  • Fluent written and spoken Italian and English languages

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in the Aviation Industry is considered a significant plus

  • Knowledge of Lean framework and main tools
