Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

As a Medium Equipment Operator (Forklift Operator), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials. This work may take place in all weather conditions, rain, snow, sun.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse or production area.

  • Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using forklifts.

  • Stack and organize products in designated areas, ensuring efficient space utilization.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

  • Follow the directions given by ground guides.

  • Continuously analyze the work environment for hazards and stop operations, if required, to correct hazards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of professional experience operating 8K-30K Forklifts.

  • Requires a proven track record of safely operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have a verifiable forklift certification or license.

  • Requires a strong understanding of and adherence to safety procedures, protocols, and guidelines for forklift operation.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

  • Must be able to lift, crouch, bend, reach and climb in all weather conditions.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • An understanding of crane operations, to include load slinging.
