Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

As a Generator Mechanic you will be responsible for daily maintenance tasks and documentation, ensuring the proper functioning of generators and light sets. The role involves traveling to various camps within Poland to conduct technical inspections and operational checks. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal safety equipment and compliance with HAZMAT regulations, is paramount.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance checks on generators and light sets.

  • Complete necessary documentation related to maintenance activities.

  • Travel to different camps in Poland to conduct technical inspections and operational checks.

  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

  • Wear required personal safety equipment during tasks.

  • Follow HAZMAT rules and regulations concerning waste material from generators.

  • Utilize 2 years of experience to enhance maintenance operations.

  • Work on generators and engines, including SDMO – John Deere / Doosan engines, Himoinsa – Yanmar / FPT IVECO engines, Cummins engines, and Onis Visa – Perkins engines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of directly related experience.

  • Must have experience with any of the following generators and engines: SDMO – John Deere / Doosan engines, Himoinsa – Yanmar / FPT IVECO engines, Cummins engines, and Onis Visa – Perkins engines.

  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Experience and ability to work effectively with non-native English speakers strongly preferred.

  • Prior overseas professional experience.
