Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Food Service Worker will perform various tasks related to kitchen and dining area operations. The primary responsibilities include preparing dining and serving areas, cleaning and maintaining kitchen spaces, and ensuring a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining and serving areas by arranging counters, stands, and tables.

  • Set up food containers in serving order, fill salt and pepper shakers, and place linen and silverware on tables.

  • Clean and work in the scullery, responsible for general kitchen cleaning, including floors, equipment, walls, and light fixtures.

  • Store cleaned items and cleaning materials in an organized manner.

  • Collect, scrape, soak, wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.

  • Dispose of food waste in garbage disposal or trash receptacle.

  • Pick up and store non-food items, cleaning solutions, and paper products.

  • Perform machine and manual washing of kitchen items.

  • Conduct perimeter cleaning functions to maintain overall cleanliness.

  • Set up, serve, break down, and replenish serving lines, beverage refrigerators, and juice dispensers.

  • Sweep, mop, and clean serving lines, warmers, refrigerators, beverage dispensers, and coffee machines after each meal.

  • Assist with salad and bar preparation.

  • Serve main course, speed line items, meats, vegetables, starches, and short-order items during daily serving hours.

  • Wash and sort dishes, glassware, and silverware.

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, pots, pans, counters, and tables.

  • Sweep and mop floors in designated areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in food services.

  • Requires the ability to read, write, understand, and speak clearly in English.

  • Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate instructions to others.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Military food service experience.
