Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating designated machines and equipment, reporting to and receiving assignments from the Manager, Supervisor, Load Planner, or Joint Inspection Team. The role involves adherence to safety rules, proper operation of heavy equipment, and assistance with cargo and baggage movement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload of cargo and baggage on and off government owned or contracted aircraft IAW AFI 24-605, Volume 2 and other applicable instructions.

  • Validate, select, stage and upload aircraft loads utilizing the load plan.

  • Assist Cargo Movement Section to facilitate onward movement of cargo / mail.

  • Build-up / break-down baggage pallets, multi-pallet trains, loose cargo, and mixed pallets.

  • Offload / upload baggage from AMC rotator missions and transport vehicles.

  • Weigh and record accurate cargo and baggage weights.

  • Properly park all vehicles per the published vehicle parking plan.

  • Perform the safe and correct operation of K-loaders or other required vehicles and the daily inspection, documentation and turn-in (to maintenance) vehicles in need of repair or service.

  • Perform all other duties as prescribed by management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Fluent English reading and writing skills to be able to read and understand AFI guidance for day-to-day work requirements.

  • 60-ton Tunner K-loader Certified Operator

  • Must have a current Hazmat Handlers Certification

  • Must provide license and certificates for equipment operation and HAZMAT Handlers qualifications.

  • NAC-I Required

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of related experience and relevant certification is typically required. 60-ton Tunner K-loader Certified Operator.

  • Current Hazmat Handlers Certification.

  • Valid licenses and certificates for equipment operation and HAZMAT Handlers qualifications.
