Prince Telecom is currently hiring entry level Fiber Optic Field Technicians in Pocatello, ID to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $18/hr

  • Job Type: Full-Time

    What you'll do...

  • Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone.

  • Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches.

  • Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.

  • Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.

  • Complete paperwork accurately and report/record work order status updates.

  • Customer service duties such as:

  • Greet and interact with customers in a professional courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;

  • Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement.

  • Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.

    Who we are looking for...

  • Minimum 18 years old

  • Valid standard driver's license required

  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Comfortable working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, house attics, etc.)

  • Comfortable working through inclement weather

  • Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs
