St. Bernard's Medical Center LPN - HOME HEALTH - FIVE RIVERS MEDICAL CENTER in Pocahontas, Arkansas

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education

  • Completion of LPN curriculum at approved school.

  • Experience

  • Minimum of one year nursing experience with some home health experience preferred. Proficiency in nursing skills and documentation. Must be professional, self-assured, courteous, poised, and versatile. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Willing to accept responsibilities, and work with other Home Health team members. Current LPN state license. Current CPR certification. Must have reliable transportation and current car insurance and driver's license.

  • Occasional sitting, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting. Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting 50 lbs or more, carrying up to 50 lbs and pushing up to 300 lbs. Must be able to see with corrective eye wear. Must be able to hear clearly with assistance. Combination of office and exam offices. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and medicinal preparations. TB test required. Hepatitis B vaccination available. Requires full range of body motion. Occasional stress from workload. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment including phone, PC, fax and medical equipment including stethoscope, EKG machine, ear washing equipment, speculums, scales, blood pressure cuff.

  • JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for therapeutic care and personal care of patients under the direction and guidance of a RN in a professional manner. Will care for patients of all varied diagnoses. Communicate as appropriate with Home Health Director, physician, patient, family, care givers Home Health team members and the general public.
