Becoming a Technical Manager in Engineering means coordinating a highly skilled team of specialists across various fields and countries, taking responsibility for implementing customer requirements, and designing solutions.

We have developed and continue to enhance an excellent technical product—a locomotive based on the Vectron platform, with more than 1,500 units currently operating across Europe. Before this technical marvel hits the tracks, its operation must be approved by the relevant regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Organizing and managing the approval process for locomotives from the Vectron platform

  • Securing verification documents for approvals

  • Communicating with regulatory authorities in various countries to ensure vehicle homologation in those regions

  • Assessing and classifying mechanical and hardware changes and software releases concerning their impact on homologation

  • Developing the approval plan and managing the entire homologation process

  • Communicating with the project team, platform management, and engineering specialists

Requirements:

  • A university degree in a technical field

  • Experience in project management in development or testing processes in development

  • An aptitude for the formal administrative aspects of projects, willingness to work with documents (provision, management, storage, change process, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and a willingness to interact with colleagues within the company and relevant authorities

  • Proficiency in English and Czech for daily professional work, German at any level is an advantage

  • A systematic, meticulous approach and the ability to see things in context

  • Approximately 20% time flexibility for business trips, mainly to Germany (Munich, Erlangen)

Experience in the field of railway vehicles, especially TSI standards, is an advantage.
