Job Title: Sr. Controls / Automation Technician

Summary:

The Sr. Controls / Automation Technician is responsible for assisting in the  development and implementation of control systems for a variety of industrial applications. This includes the use of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and other related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, as well as experience with PLC programming and HMI development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design, development, and troubleshooting  control systems for a variety of industrial applications

  • Assist with selection o hardware and software for control systems

  • Program updates and modifications of PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley PLC and Automation Direct C-More HMI experience is preferred)

  • Perform testing and debugging of control systems

  • Document control systems

  • Work with other engineers and technicians to implement control systems

  • Provide technical support to customers

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technician experience in controls / automation

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles

  • Experience with PLC programming and HMI

  • Experience with a variety of industrial control systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
