Description

Robert Half is partnering with a Company in the West Metro in need of a Senior Accountant to join their growing company. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budget preparation and audit preparation. Additionally, you will play a key role in directly interacting with clients and reviewing the work of Associate and Staff level employees. Major responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Assist with and oversee the financial reporting and budgeting process

  • Prepare balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and various financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliation and financial statements prepared by Associate and Staff level team members

  • Assist in the development of key staff members, functioning as a mentor to other departmental staff

  • Review and analyze various tax implications, seeking guidance from internal tax staff when questions arise

  • Stay current on GAAP changes

  • Recommend financial changes based on current and forecasted results

  • Manage a book of business, interacting directly with key leadership on various accounting related items

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

  • 3+ years of prior accounting experience

  • Prior experience with a small-mid sized accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, Timberline, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong foundational experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
