The Order Management Specialist works in a high performing, customer-oriented team environment to support made-to-order manufactured equipment for a national network of direct sales office. Builds relationships with the sales office as well as quality, cost and delivery (QCD) operations personnel to provide end-to-end management of incoming orders. A Day in the Life: Order Processing Ensures timely processing of orders. Following the standard order processing procedure this position will work with customized made to order equipment and a subset of products. Supports the standard order processing procedure while working with customized made to order equipment as well as a subset of products. Specialized equipment processing will also involve interaction with drafting, engineering and 3rd party modifiers. Processes change orders following the change order process and guidelines. Customer Service Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Fields incoming calls to deal with mitigation of delays within production, shipping and delivery of products. Also deals with short shipments, damages and product defects. Assures effective and efficient handling of calls and timely processing of orders. Acts as the primary customer contact regarding pricing, shipping and negotiation of order scheduling as well as coordinating specialized delivery requirements. Manages the freight claims process.
