Nexus Graphic Designer (Part-Time) in Plymouth, Minnesota

Description Nexus Family Healing is excited to be hiring a part-time Graphics Designer to join our Home Office team! Position Summary: The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications department's strategic objectives by providing design support for internal and external clients. The Graphic Designer will produce creative materials including direct mail, print ads, digital campaigns, out-of-home, website graphics, special event invitations, program brochures, and a variety of other design needs. This position will create and present concepts, as well as produce multiple iterations of design projects. Production work is required in this role. Schedule and Pay: Part time fully remote opportunity: candidate must live in the Minnesota/Twin Cities Metro area. Monday through Friday Starting pay $26.50+ hourly Primary responsibilities: Digital, Print & Material Creation Creates a broad range of print and digital materials to support organizational needs including advertising, promotional materials, and other marketing purposes including brochures, web graphics, displays, PowerPoint presentations, banners, and other marketing material Works collaboratively with internal team to develops creative concepts for fundraising campaigns and events and presents ideas to internal clients; communicates and collaborates professionally, respectfully and effectively. Ensures that files are print-ready for all assignments Design, Formatting & Editing Approves printers' proofs, performs press checks and works with vendors to problem solve technical issues as necessary; works collaboratively to problem solve, adapt and meet the changing needs of the business. Ensure delivery of assets within provided deadlines, formatted to correct technical specifications Works with marketing and communications staff to ensure brand standards are adhered to company-wide Maintains shared library of brand files, design files, illustration, photography, videography Suggests additions or changes that continue to strengthen brand identity; demonstrates enthusiasm and expertise for the creative and technical process, graphic fundamentals, layouts, production and typography. Works with external resources as needed to communicate, review, and approve work based on brand standards. Reviews final productions for errors and ensures that final prints reflect client specifications Develops, designs, and produces graphic art that satisfies a creative brief Perform retouching and manipulation of images Understands, adheres to and applies Nexus policies and procedures. Other duties as apparent or assigned. Required Education and Licensure: Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design or equivalent related area 3 years of experience working in graphic design, related industry experience preferred Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, Acrobat and PowerPoint Operational knowledge of font usage, file management and print and digital production Experience retouching photos. Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements Preferred Education and Experience: 5+ years' experience working graphic design Work Environment: This role will be fully remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
