Daikin Applied Engineering Technician III in Plymouth, Minnesota
Summary: The Engineering Technician III will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical, and electronic measuring. This can also include supporting aspects of recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards. Shift: 3:00 - 11:30pm Monday - Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard. Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis Implement corrective and preventative actions Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 5+ years of related experience Preferred Experience/Education: Two year technical degree in a related field Fork truck training/license Man lift training/license Universal card R410a card Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
