Robert Bosch LLC seeks Vice President Engineering and Project Management (Multiple Positions) in Plymouth, Michigan. Responsible for project management for global driver assistance projects with large US based automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Responsible for the software, system, and hardware development of driver assistance systems, including software and hardware for automotive central computers and automotive radars, ultrasonic sensors and automotive cameras. Lead an international team of 700 engineers in software engineering, system engineering, hardware engineering, software & vehicle integration, verification & validation, target setting, define project priorities, conflict management, communication. Lead cross functional team including engineering, sales, quality, purchasing, controlling. Develop business strategies to expand existing business with customer and to create new business opportunities Responsible to set up and develop efficient project organization and project structure, including strategies how to best setup global team. Responsible for staffing project team in collaboration with managers, directors, and VPs from involved engineering teams. Responsible for overall project timeline & project budget. Ensure to meet internal and customer milestones and budget targets. Responsible for development to achieve quality targets and process compliance of driver assistance products. Ensure development according to Bosch process landscape, ensure development according to automotive standards and functional safety standards (Specifically: Automotive Spice, ISO26262). Responsible to manage interface to automotive customers, build and keep relationship, ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure close collaboration with and target setting to Bosch platform development teams and ensure delivery of platform software and hardware to project. Will oversee and manage the work of several direct reports (line management) in engineering project management and supporting functions (disciplinary leadership). Will share knowledge by providing best practices and lessons learned to engineers, project managers, managers, directors, VPs. Regular status reporting of project to executive management. Travel: 10-20% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting: Hybrid - 2 days work from home.

This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 10 years of professional experience as a Technical Project Manager-Driver Assistance Systems, Engineering Manager-Driver Assistance Systems, or other occupation involving the development of driver assistance or automated driving technology, including software development, hardware development and system development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Development and testing of automotive driver assistance systems and software technology, such as radar or video perception algorithms; driver assistance control algorithms for embedded devices (Tools: Programing language C, C++, enterprise architect, and IBM doors); (2) Development/testing of automotive sensor hardware/vehicle integration of automotive sensors; (3) Automotive development processes, including A-SPICE and ISO26262; (4) Driver assistance systems, driver assistance software, and driver assistance hardware; (5) Creating and monitoring of project schedules for driver assistance/automated driving hardware, software, and products using MS project and Atlassian Jira, that meet automotive standards for project management and meet requirements of automotive customers; (6) Creating and presenting technical presentations of hardware and software development statuses to project managers, managers and executives of automotive customers using MS PowerPoint and MS project; (7) Negotiating requirements, timelines, technical design decisions, project risks with project managers, man
