Robert Bosch LLC seeks Senior Application/Calibration Engineer (Multiple Positions) in Plymouth, Michigan. Responsible for vehicle testing / system integration / application / validation / requirements engineering for camera-based driver assistance functions. Responsible for camera vehicle integration, debugging / troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANoe and MATLAB. Responsible for bench and vehicle testing. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking. Define and document test cases / test strategy, analyze and document test data / results. Recommend software / logic changes for performance issues that cannot be solved via parameter tuning. Ensure system development, validation, and delivery according to guidelines and processes in place. Support test drives and evaluations of camera functions with customer. First point of contact for OEM for application topics, prepare technical presentations for customer. Telecommuting: Hybrid- 2-3 days work from home.

This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of professional experience as an Automotive Engineer, Validation Engineer, or other occupation involving calibration and tuning of parameters in vehicle testing. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Ensuring full requirements traceability, partitioning, linkage, and check point release; (2) Completing, reviewing, and approving (as applicable and required) Safety, FMEAs, and Risk assessments, and Hazard analysis; (3) Adapting, tuning, and debugging software to improve performance and meet specifications; (4) Developing or updating system and application test plans and confirming test coverage; (5) Validating functions in vehicle, and creating efficient, reliable test methodology to validate algorithms and provide feedback to others (e.g., platform) based on road testing in NA; and (6) Analyzing systems to be able to troubleshoot in development vehicles or on test benches.
