Job Description:

*Apex Systems *is seeking a talented *Mechanical Design Engineer *to join our *Special Vehicle Development *team. This role involves working on cab, mechanical, and electrical systems across multiple projects and units. The position also includes supporting production and prototype launches. 

*Job Title: *Mechanical Design Engineer

*Location: *Allentown, PA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design, methods builds, and design reviews
  • Application of GD&T principles
  • Understanding and executing assembly and disassembly processes
  • Designing sheet metal components, including creating custom brackets
  • Handling piping, wiring, and cabling tasks

Project Involvement:

  • Engine installation for new diesel products
  • E-mobility projects

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in a specific area with a willingness to learn other aspects
  • Experience in heavy vehicle or heavy equipment manufacturing/design
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (open to candidates with lighter experience for the right fit)
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in Creo preferred, but CATIA experience is also acceptable
