Job Description:

Apex is seeking a CMM Technicianto join a company located near the Norristown, PA area. Summary of Key Duties for this position:

  • Mechanical/electrical fabrication of flight and ground support hardware.
  • Electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly.
  • Perform a variety of hands-on assembly tasks ranging from repetitive to nonrepetitive production assembly operations.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.
  • Work as a member of a team communicating technical issues to Manufacturing / Quality Engineers while supporting corrective actions.
  • Ability to be trained to perform all duties in accordance with training requirements, such as hand soldering, bonding, harness fabrication, module assembly and black box level assembly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Mechanical dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • Ability to pass JSTD-001 certification, SSC JSTD001MAP Solder OPER Certification, SSC NASA Polymerics Operator Certification and SSC NASA Cable/Harness, Operator Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills:

  • Conformal Coating experience
  • JSD-001 certification.
  • Able to read drawings and measurements
  • Proficiencies with epoxies and structural adhesives
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Operate cutting tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, drills and rotary tools with proficiency
  • Basic technological and mathematical proficiency
  • Passionate about their work and takes pride in delivering high-quality hardware
  • Solid computer skills, competent with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Preferred candidate should be proficient with VE-CAMS and SAP.
  • 2 years' experience in the industry.
