Job Description

The Position

The US Market Finance Associate Director will join the US Finance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team reporting to the US Market FP&A Lead. Responsibilities will focus on strategic/operational advisement and financial oversight to the Established Brands portfolio as well as Commercial Business Support functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Established Brands business unit leader to help the team make informed decisions by providing financial insights and analysis that help business partners understand their financial situations, identify opportunities and risks, and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with US Established Brands Business Unit by providing deep analytical insight into core business performance, leading financial discussions with the business unit leader and influence executive level decision making.

  • Deliver accurate and highly informed quarterly revenue forecasts, annual budget, and long-range plans by working closely with US Established Brands Leadership, Market Research, Account Management and Manufacturing while leveraging analytical and research tools.

  • Responsible to develop and monitor US revenue forecasts, ensuring supply and providing business advisement to the Commercial Teams with balanced allocation of expenses.

  • Partner with Commercial Functional Leads – Commercial Strategy & Operations, Market Research & Analytics, Market Access & Policy and Commercial Innovation - on expense forecasting, develop quarterly forecasts, annual budget, and long-range plans for centralized Business Support activities.

  • Provide guidance and communication in support of corporate earnings projections, Franchise/US Market strategies, (including allocation of promotional resources), Business Development and Manufacturing long-term capacity planning, including decisions to build additional capacity or expand external manufacturing arrangements.

  • Track, analyze and report on drivers of product performance i.e. script / Patient Days of Therapy data, market share, sales performance on both a product and franchise level basis.

  • Align with US Marketing Leads and supporting teams to provide meaningful business advisement.

  • Effectively communicate and present revenue and expense results and forecasts to various areas of the organization including Senior Leadership for the US Market.

  • Support demand planning analysis and submissions, a critical stewardship activity, through implementation of a balanced supply plan which ensures supply and minimizes risks of product discards, particularly in the face of significant market events.

  • Harmonize and integrate best practices to ensure forecasting accuracy across the team.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.

  • Seven plus years of business experience, preferably pharmaceutical/healthcare related.

  • At least two years of analytical finance experience with extensive use of Excel.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Management presentation – developed and delivered presentations to Company management.

  • At least two years in a role involving direct support of internal business customers.

  • Prior FP&A experience strongly desired.

  • Master of Business Administration degree.

  • Gross to Net Discount Accounting.

  • Experience with SAP and financial databases.
