Job Description:

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

The Critical Care Center is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hour intensivist coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues.

Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).

Minimum Requirements :

  • Current Mass RN license

  • Current AHABLSandACLScertification required.

  • At least 6months-1 year recent (within the last 12months) critical care experience required; ability to demonstrate competency in core critical care skills: ventilator management,vasoactiveand sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiacdysrhythmiarecognition and management, postSTEMIcare; evidence of relevant continuing education

Recommended Requirements :

  • BSN &CCRNPreferred.

  • Documented professional development activities.

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.
