Job Description

DUTIES: • Provide software and systems architecture along with leadership to a team of engineers.

• Design and implement services and software architecture for new products and extensions to existing products.

• Collaborate, negotiate, and influence direction and decision making to deliver quality solutions.

• Work collaboratively with the team members to deliver artifacts related to the design of the solution.

• Responsible for leading the integrity of technical work on significant concurrent projects.

• Actively participate in development community of practices in sharing and learning best practices, lead initiatives within the community and involve in other organization initiatives.

• Work on the R&D team for Human Identification Software.

• Responsible for driving new software development and innovation programs for the human identification instruments and analysis of software that are used in most forensic labs and law enforcement agencies across the globe.

• Represent the software team as a technical lead on apposite projects to drive the software requirements and software development team.

• Responsible for curating the software requirements and designing and architecting solutions, ensuring implementation.

• Assist as necessary in connection with training the sales, marketing, and R&D teams for usage of the software when the software is ready to roll out, and during go-to-market support.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, or in any positions in which the required skills can be gained or a related occupation Required knowledge or experience with:

• Object-oriented principles, design patterns, data structures;

• Experience in Java /JEE application development architecture, frameworks, and technologies: Microservice, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring RESTful Web Service, and Hibernate/JPA;

• Experience with database applications: Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle;

• Developing and guiding unit testing using frameworks such as Junit or Mockito;

• Experience using Git, Sonar, and Jenkins;

• Experience using Agile software development methodologies; and

• Experience conducting performance analysis and implementing system performance improvements.

Salary: $215197 to $221000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $215,197.00–$221,000.00.
