Position Summary

As the Data Migration Program Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive data migration strategy to ensure the successful transition of data from legacy systems to modern platforms. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data governance framework, establishing policies, and defining roles and responsibilities to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will lead a team of consultants to execute these initiatives and ensure project milestones are met.

Essential Duties

• Design and implement a robust data strategy to guide the migration process and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Gather and document reporting requirements, including those for statutory reporting, to support regulatory compliance and business intelligence needs.

• Create and implement data policies to govern the use, access, and quality of data across the organization.

• Design the data governance organization and define roles and responsibilities to promote accountability and transparency.

• Develop and document data governance and management frameworks to establish standards and best practices for data management.

• Design various data deliverables, including but not limited to business glossary, data catalog, data dictionary, data quality reporting, and data monitoring tools.

• Utilize your experience in managing a team of 4 to 8+ consultants to effectively coordinate project activities and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

• Leverage your expertise in the insurance industry to tailor data migration strategies and solutions to meet specific industry requirements.

• Experience with statutory reporting is highly desirable.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize data migration workflows.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data management, with a focus on data migration and governance.

• Proven track record of leading successful data migration initiatives from inception to completion.

• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Experience with Oracle R12 a big plus

• Experience in the insurance industry highly desired.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing and mentoring a team of consultants.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

• Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance platforms.

Travel Requirements: As needed to meet service-level requirements and for required business meetings

Salary range $75-120/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
